Bank of Cave City: Tier 1 Leverage Ratio
Data as of · sourced from FFIEC call reports. How we update
Bank of Cave City reported a tier 1 leverage ratio of 8.38% as of Q2 2026, ranking #3,437 of 3,622 U.S. banks (5th percentile). That is down 0.02 percentage points from 8.41% a year earlier, and below the 11.10% median of the 1,862 Small Community Banks ($100M–$500M in assets). The Tier 1 Leverage Ratio measures Tier 1 capital against unweighted average assets, a simpler backstop that prevents banks from gaming the risk-based capital rules.

National Context
What is the Tier 1 Leverage Ratio?
The tier 1 leverage ratio is a bank's tier 1 capital divided by its average total consolidated assets. Unlike the risk-based ratios it gives every asset the same weight, so it caps how far a bank can stretch its balance sheet whatever the asset mix.
Read the leverage ratio next to the CET1 ratio. A bank with a 15% CET1 ratio and a 7% leverage ratio holds a large share of low-risk-weight assets such as securities and cash; when the two ratios are close, the balance sheet is loan-heavy. Very large banks run lower leverage ratios than community banks because their capital requirements bind on risk-based measures and the supplementary leverage ratio. Ratios far above 15% usually belong to trust and custody banks with small balance sheets.
