Disclaimers

Last updated: May 13, 2026

The following disclaimers apply to all information, analytics, scores, and tools available through BankRegReports (bankregreports.com). Please read them carefully. By using the platform you acknowledge and agree to these limitations.

1. Past Performance

Historical financial performance data displayed on BankRegReports — including but not limited to capital ratios, return on assets, net interest margin, loan growth, asset quality metrics, and efficiency ratios — does not guarantee, predict, or imply future results. Bank financial conditions can and do change rapidly. A bank that appears well-capitalized and profitable in one reporting period may face significantly different conditions in subsequent periods.

Any backtests, trend analyses, or peer comparisons generated using the platform reflect historical data as reported. These results carry significant limitations and should not be used as the basis for any financial, investment, or regulatory decision without independent verification.

2. Data Accuracy and Timeliness

All bank financial data on BankRegReports is sourced from publicly available regulatory filings submitted to the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Federal Reserve, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), including FFIEC Call Reports and Uniform Bank Performance Reports (UBPR).

This data is displayed as reported by the submitting institutions and has not been independently audited or verified by BankRegReports. Data may be:

  • Lagged — regulatory filings are submitted on a quarterly basis; the most recent data available on the platform may be one or more quarters behind actual current conditions.
  • Restated — institutions sometimes amend previously filed reports. Restated figures may not immediately be reflected on the platform.
  • Incomplete — not all institutions report all data fields; missing values may appear as zero or null.
  • Inaccurate — errors in the underlying regulatory filings, whether due to reporting mistakes or amendments, will be reflected in the data we display.

BankRegReports makes no representation or warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any data on the platform. You should independently verify all data before relying on it for any purpose.

3. Not Investment Advice — No Solicitation

Nothing on BankRegReports constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security, financial instrument, bank stock, or other asset. BankRegReports is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial institution under U.S. securities law or any other applicable law.

The platform is designed to help analysts, researchers, bankers, and investors access and organize publicly available regulatory data. It is not designed to — and does not — provide personalized investment recommendations. All investment decisions are made solely at your own risk. Past data about a bank's financial performance is not a basis for predicting the performance of any security issued by or related to that bank.

We are not a fiduciary with respect to any user. No user-platform relationship creates any duty of care, fiduciary duty, or advisory relationship on the part of BankRegReports.

4. Not Legal, Regulatory, or Accounting Advice

BankRegReports is neither a law firm nor a certified public accounting firm. Nothing on the platform constitutes legal advice, regulatory compliance advice, accounting guidance, or tax advice. In particular:

  • Information about regulatory capital ratios, prompt corrective action thresholds, or minimum capital requirements is provided for informational context only and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney or banking regulatory counsel.
  • Information about CAMELS ratings, examination findings, or enforcement actions is presented from public sources and does not reflect the current or future supervisory views of any banking regulator.
  • Financial ratios and calculations on the platform are derived from as-reported Call Report data and are not a substitute for audited financial statements or CPA-reviewed analyses.

If you require legal, regulatory compliance, or accounting guidance, consult a qualified professional licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.

5. ML Risk Intelligence

BankRegReports offers a Machine Learning Risk Intelligence tool that generates risk scores and flags for individual banks based on patterns in historical regulatory data. These scores are statistical model outputs, not regulatory ratings, supervisory assessments, or findings by any government agency.

Important limitations of ML-based risk scores:

  • Models are trained on historical data and may not account for novel economic conditions, new regulatory frameworks, or institution-specific circumstances not captured in Call Report data.
  • A high-risk score does not mean a bank is unsafe, unsound, or likely to fail. A low-risk score does not mean a bank is financially healthy or safe from failure.
  • Risk scores reflect patterns in publicly available data and should not be treated as a substitute for a regulatory examination or due diligence process.
  • Model performance is evaluated on historical patterns; future predictive accuracy is not guaranteed.

ML Risk Intelligence outputs are provided for research and monitoring purposes only. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for any investment, lending, regulatory, or business decision.

6. M&A Screener and Bank Failure Data

The M&A Screener and bank failures/acquisitions tools display historical transaction and failure data sourced from FDIC records and other public regulatory sources. This data is provided for historical research purposes only.

  • Past M&A activity patterns are not predictive of future transactions. A bank appearing on a screener output is not a target, and its appearance does not constitute a recommendation.
  • Bank failure history is a factual record of past events, not a prediction of which banks will fail in the future.
  • Screener outputs reflect quantitative filter criteria applied to regulatory data. They are not the result of qualitative analysis or due diligence.

7. Data Sources

Bank regulatory data displayed on BankRegReports is sourced from the following publicly available government datasets:

  • FFIEC Call Reports — quarterly financial condition and income reports submitted by all U.S. commercial banks and savings institutions to their primary federal regulator
  • UBPR (Uniform Bank Performance Report) — performance analysis reports produced by the FFIEC for individual bank examination and peer comparison
  • FDIC BankFind Suite — institution profiles, historical statistics, and failure/acquisition records maintained by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
  • Federal Reserve Statistical Releases — national deposit rates and aggregate banking industry statistics

These datasets are in the public domain. BankRegReports aggregates, normalizes, and visualizes them but does not generate or modify the underlying reported figures.

8. Cookie Usage

BankRegReports uses cookies and similar technologies to authenticate your account session, maintain your platform preferences (watchlists, saved filters, peer groups), and collect anonymized usage analytics via Google Analytics 4. Third-party services integrated with the platform (Stripe, Google) may set their own cookies governed by their respective privacy policies.

For details on how we use cookies and your choices, see our Privacy Policy.

9. No Affiliation with Regulators

BankRegReports LLC is an independent private company and has no affiliation with, endorsement by, or relationship with the FFIEC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, OCC, CFPB, or any other U.S. or international banking regulator. The names of regulatory agencies and their data products are used solely to identify the sources of the data displayed on the platform.
