Accessibility Statement
Last updated: November 2, 2026
1. Our Goal
We want everyone who works with bank and credit union data to be able to use BankRegReports, including people who use a screen reader, screen magnifier, voice control, keyboard-only navigation or other assistive technology.
Our goal is for the website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is a goal we are working toward, not a claim that the site conforms today. Some pages and features do not yet meet it, and section 3 lists the gaps we know about.
2. What We Do
- We run automated accessibility checks on our main page templates and fix what they find.
- We write data tables with header cells so a screen reader can announce the row and column of each figure.
- We mark values that are not reported, not applicable or not meaningful with a text label, not by color alone.
- We treat an accessibility barrier reported by a user as a defect, and fix it the way we fix any other defect.
3. Known Gaps
An automated check on October 30, 2026 of our home page, a bank profile page and the sign-up page, at desktop and phone widths, found these issues. We are working on them.
- Link contrast on bank pages. The methodology link in the note under the bank profile panels is distinguished from the text around it by color only, and that color difference is too small (WCAG 1.4.1).
- Home page search. The search box tells assistive technology that it controls a suggestion list, but the list is not in the page until suggestions appear, so some screen readers may not announce the suggestions reliably (WCAG 4.1.2).
- Home page recent filers list. The scrolling list of banks that recently filed has a label that some screen readers do not announce, because the container has no role (WCAG 4.1.2).
- Text contrast. On all three pages, the automated check could not confirm that some text over backgrounds and gradients meets the contrast minimum, and these need a manual review (WCAG 1.4.3).
Automated checks find only part of the barriers a person can meet. We have not yet completed a manual review with screen readers, and we have not yet reviewed the signed-in pages, the interactive charts, or the Excel and PDF downloads against WCAG 2.1 AA. Charts may not yet offer a full text alternative; the figures behind a chart are available in the tables on the same page or in a download.
4. Report a Barrier
If something on BankRegReports is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Email support@bankregreports.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line, the page address, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology and browser you use, if any.
We will acknowledge your message within 2 business days, and within 10 business days we will either fix the barrier or give you the information you need in another accessible form, such as the data you were looking for in a format that works for you.
5. Changes to This Statement
We will update this statement as we fix gaps and review more of the site. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision.
