Liquidity and Funding
FreeLiquid assets, securities and their unrealized gains or losses, loans against deposits, the deposit base (core, uninsured, brokered), borrowings, the cost of funding and capital headroom, by quarter with asset-tier medians.
About this dataset
Liquidity and Funding is a Free dataset in the Banks group of the BankRegReports Data API. It is sourced from FFIEC Call Report + UBPR (BankRegReports).
What the bank holds to meet outflows and how much of its funding could leave, from the FFIEC Call Report and UBPR. `regions`: LIQUIDITY (liquid assets, securities and their unrealized gains or losses, loans against deposits) and FUNDING (the deposit base, reliance on borrowed money, funding sources, the cost of funding and capital headroom over the regulatory minimums). Each row carries its column name, one value per quarter (newest first, null where not filed), the change from the same quarter a year earlier and the median for the bank's asset tier. `headline`: six tiles with the change from the prior quarter. Ratios are percent (0-100) and change in basis points; dollar amounts are thousands and change in percent.

When to use it
Liquidity and Funding sits in the Banks group of the Data API. Reach for it when your work needs this data straight from the API: it comes back as JSON you can load into a notebook, a spreadsheet or a scheduled pipeline, with the dataset key liquidity_funding naming it the same way in the REST path, the Python SDK and the OpenAPI document.
Access and authentication
This dataset is in the Free tier. Send your API token in the Authorization header as a Bearer token, using a GET request to the endpoint above. The Free plan is the first plan that includes it.
