- Yes. Pro is one plan for the terminal and the API: the same subscription, at the same price on both pricing pages, with 10,000 API calls a day and a 1,000 per minute burst. The free tier includes 200 calls a day.
- What does Scale add?
- Volume. Scale includes everything in Pro, the website too, with 100,000 API calls a day and priority support. The data is the same: Pro, Scale and Enterprise open the identical full catalog.
- How many API calls does the free tier include?
- The free API tier includes 200 API calls per day, with access to public and free datasets.
- What do the API plans cost?
- Pro is $50/mo (or $500/yr), the same plan and price as the website. Scale is $199/mo (or $1,990/yr). Enterprise is custom; contact sales.
- Can I get more than 100,000 calls per day?
- Yes. Enterprise plans have custom limits. Every account can hold up to 2 active API keys at a time. Contact sales to set one up.
- What data does the API serve?
- The same data as the website. More than 12,000 regulatory data items (3,821 Call Report line items, 2,196 FR Y-9C items, 1,184 NCUA 5300 items, 675 FFIEC 002 items, 568 FR Y-15 items, 544 FR Y-15 items for foreign banking organizations, 254 FFIEC 101 items, 80 FFIEC 102 items, and 2,792 UBPR ratios), plus 1,929 standardized measures (892 per bank and 357 per bank holding company) built from them. The free tier opens the public and free datasets; Pro, Scale and Enterprise open the identical full catalog.
- Is there an Excel API?
- Yes. The Excel add-in is in beta and available now: nine worksheet functions over the same fields the REST API serves, in Excel for Windows, Mac and the web. It works on the free tier with an API key: installing it and reading the function reference is open to everyone, and pulling live data through it uses your key, so the free API plan (200 calls a day) is enough to start.
