FirstBank: Non-Performing Loans Ratio
Data as of · sourced from FFIEC call reports. How we update
FirstBank reported a non-performing loans ratio of 1.40% as of Q2 2026, ranking #695 of 3,644 U.S. banks (81st percentile). That is up 0.23 percentage points from 1.17% a year earlier, and above the 0.67% median of the 122 Regional Banks ($10B–$100B in assets). The NPL ratio is nonaccrual loans plus loans 90 or more days past due and still accruing, divided by total loans: the FDIC noncurrent loan ratio. Loans modified for borrowers in financial difficulty that pay under their new terms are not counted.

National Context
What is the Non-Performing Loans Ratio?
A non-performing loan (NPL) is a loan whose borrower has stopped paying as agreed: the bank has put it on nonaccrual because full collection is doubtful, or it is 90 or more days past due. The NPL ratio divides those loans by total loans. Regulators call them noncurrent loans.
Compare the NPL ratio with the allowance for credit losses: an allowance smaller than the NPL balance leaves less room for losses on loans already in trouble. Then find which loan type is driving it, because a jump in construction or office loans means more than one in guaranteed loans. A single large commercial loan can move a small bank's ratio by a full percentage point, so read the trend over several quarters.
