SEC Filer History
FreeSEC registration / identity change log per filer - registrant CIKs, filing date span, and per-form counts.
About this dataset
SEC Filer History is a Free dataset in the SEC Data group of the BankRegReports Data API. The response carries 10 documented fields, sourced from SEC EDGAR filing index.
SEC registrant identities mapped to this filer RSSD.
One row per CIK identity (a re-registration / identity change log): EDGAR filing date span, per-form counts (10-K/10-Q/8-K/DEF 14A), the full set of forms filed, and whether the identity is still an active filer. A bank-level RSSD that never registered with the SEC returns an empty list.

SEC Filer History sits in the SEC Data group of the Data API. Reach for it when your work needs this data straight from the API: it comes back as JSON you can load into a notebook, a spreadsheet or a scheduled pipeline, with the dataset key filer_history naming it the same way in the REST path, the Python SDK and the OpenAPI document.
Access and authentication
This dataset is in the Free tier. Send your API token in the Authorization header as a Bearer token, using a GET request to the endpoint above. The Free plan is the first plan that includes it. Check the plan comparison for request limits, and the data update schedule for when new filings reach the API.
