CUSIP Cross-Reference
FreeCUSIP cross-reference - the 13F-holdings rollup for one security by CUSIP: issuer-name variants, how many filers/RSSDs hold it, and aggregate value and share counts.
About this dataset
CUSIP Cross-Reference is a Free dataset in the SEC Data group of the BankRegReports Data API. The response carries 7 documented fields, sourced from SEC Form 13F (aggregated by CUSIP).
CUSIP cross-reference for a security - pass ?cusip=<9-char CUSIP>.
The SEC_CUSIP_INDEX table is keyed by CUSIP (no per-bank rssd_id), so this is a bounded list endpoint: one row per reported issuer-name variant of the CUSIP, each with how many filers/RSSDs hold it and aggregate 13F value/shares.

CUSIP Cross-Reference sits in the SEC Data group of the Data API. Reach for it when your work needs this data straight from the API: it comes back as JSON you can load into a notebook, a spreadsheet or a scheduled pipeline, with the dataset key sec_cusip naming it the same way in the REST path, the Python SDK and the OpenAPI document.
