Free vs. Pro
Free covers every FDIC-insured bank and federally insured credit union with full history, peer benchmarking, risk analysis, alerts and 200 API calls a day. Credit union history starts in Q1 1994 and bank history in Q1 2000, because the NCUA 5300 and bank Call Report series we load begin on different dates. A free account also builds custom peer groups and sees every bank on each screener and the named risk rankings. Pro adds Excel and CSV exports and 10,000 API calls a day. Download a sample tearsheet to see the Pro Excel report before you subscribe.

How we check the data: how our figures are compared with the regulators' filings.
Traditional bank-data terminals run $15,000–$30,000+ per seat per year. The FFIEC CDR is free but needs real engineering to use. BankRegReports gives you clean, queryable UBPR and call report data from $0.
Frequently asked questions
What's included in the free tier?
The free tier covers every FDIC-insured bank, with 26 years of history (since Q1 2000), and every federally insured credit union, with history since Q1 1994. It includes peer benchmarking and rankings, risk analysis, alerts, the Excel add-in and 200 API calls a day. Signed in, it also includes the custom peer-group builder, every bank on each screener and the named risk rankings. Pro adds Excel tearsheets, CSV exports, analysis report downloads with scheduled email delivery, and 10,000 API calls a day.
Are credit unions included?
Yes, on both plans. Every federally insured credit union is covered with NCUA 5300 call report data back to Q1 1994, while bank history starts in Q1 2000, because the two series we load begin on different dates. Credit unions get profiles, peer percentiles against credit unions of similar size, state directories and rankings. Custom peer groups, on any account, can hold banks or credit unions; a group holds one kind, so credit unions are compared only with credit unions.
What data sources does BankRegReports use?
Official FFIEC Call Report data from the Central Data Repository (CDR), UBPR analysis data, and FDIC regulatory filings dating back to 2000 for banks. Credit union data comes from NCUA 5300 call reports, back to Q1 1994.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Open Account, choose Manage billing, and cancel there. Cancelling during a free trial ends Pro immediately and you are not charged. Cancelling after you have paid keeps Pro to the end of the period you paid for. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
Can I get a refund?
A first paid purchase can be refunded in full within 14 days: email billing@bankregreports.com and say which charge to refund. The first charge after a free trial is not covered. Renewals and later purchases follow the refund policy.
How often is the data updated?
Quarterly. Banks file Call Reports within 30 days of quarter-end (35 days for banks with more than one foreign office), the FFIEC posts the bulk files about 45 days after quarter-end, and BankRegReports loads each quarter by the middle of the second month after it closes, for example Q1 by mid-May.
How does this compare to the FFIEC CDR?
The FFIEC CDR is a free government portal for downloading raw call report bulk files. BankRegReports builds on the same underlying data and adds interactive charts, peer comparisons, trend analysis, and export tools.
What metrics and ratios are available?
More than 12,000 regulatory data items (3,821 Call Report line items, 2,196 FR Y-9C items, 1,184 NCUA 5300 items, 675 FFIEC 002 items, 568 FR Y-15 items, 544 FR Y-15 items for foreign banking organizations, 254 FFIEC 101 items, 80 FFIEC 102 items, and 2,792 UBPR ratios), plus 1,929 standardized measures (892 per bank and 357 per bank holding company) built from them. The standardized measures carry 26 years of history: banks since Q1 2000, credit unions since Q1 1994. The standardized measures include ROA, ROE, NIM, efficiency ratio, NPL, NCO, Texas Ratio, CET1, Tier 1 capital, leverage ratio, loan-to-deposit, CRE concentration and core deposit ratio, and every term is defined in the metrics glossary.
How does BankRegReports choose a bank's peers?
By default each bank is ranked against the banks in its asset-size tier, one of six bands from under $100 million to $250 billion and over, so a $400 million community bank is measured against other $100 million to $1 billion banks rather than against the largest banks. The Overview Detail screen also shows the bank's FFIEC UBPR peer-group percentiles. With a free account you can build your own peer groups from hand-picked banks or by asset size and geography, then rank across any metric.
Can I get the data into Excel?
Yes, three ways. The Excel add-in (beta) has nine worksheet functions, pulls live figures into your own workbook and works on the free tier with an API key. On Pro you can also download formatted Excel tearsheets for one bank or up to 20, and CSV metric histories covering up to 40 quarters and 20 banks.
What do analysis reports include on each plan?
Any signed-in account, free or Pro, can build an analysis report on a bank, add notes and review it, with up to 20 builds a day and 100 reports stored, counting every version. Pro adds the PDF and Excel workbook downloads and scheduled email delivery: up to 10 schedules, each covering up to 25 banks from a watchlist. Anyone can open the sample report.
Do you have alerts?
Yes, on both plans. Set a threshold on any bank's ratio, such as CET1 falling below a level you choose, add banks to a watchlist, and get email when a watched bank files a new quarter, receives an enforcement action or files an 8-K.
Does Pro include the API?
Yes. Pro is one plan for the terminal and the API: the same subscription, at the same price on both pricing pages, with 10,000 API calls a day and a 1,000 per minute burst. The free tier includes 200 calls a day.
What does Scale add?
Volume. Scale includes everything in Pro, the website too, with 100,000 API calls a day and priority support. The data is the same: Pro, Scale and Enterprise open the identical full catalog.
How many people can use one plan?
Each plan is for one person. For a team, contact us about multiple seats.
