Know the condition of every bank that holds your cash.

Put your depository and trading banks on one watchlist, set alerts on capital, credit and funding ratios, and hear about a new filing the day it lands.

BankRegReports deposits view showing deposit composition, uninsured and brokered shares, cost of funds, and a deposit trend for a bank.

A corporate treasurer with operating cash at four banks, or a counterparty desk with credit lines to forty, needs the same answer every quarter: has any of them weakened? BankRegReports puts those banks on one watchlist, alerts you when a capital, credit or funding ratio crosses a level you set, and shows how much of each bank's deposit base sits above the insurance limit, sourced from the bank's own FFIEC call report.

The challenge

  • Balances above the $250,000 insurance limit leave treasury exposed to the bank itself, not the FDIC.
  • Checking each counterparty's capital and funding by hand every quarter does not scale past a few banks.
  • A deterioration that shows up in a filing can go unnoticed until the next annual review.

How BankRegReports helps

One board for every counterparty

The portfolio monitor shows every bank on your watchlist on one screen: warning flags, the core capital, credit and funding ratios, and any severe enforcement action, so the bank that changed stands out.

How treasury and counterparty-risk teams put it to work

Typical workflows, from the first search to a client-ready or board-ready output.

Run the quarterly review of your depository banks

Your treasury policy requires a review of every bank holding operating cash each quarter. Instead of pulling each call report, you open one board that already shows who moved.

  1. Add each depository bank to your watchlist.
  2. Open the portfolio monitor and sort by warning flags.
  3. Open any flagged bank's capital and deposit views for the detail behind the flag.

Get warned before the next annual review

A counterparty's capital or funding can weaken between reviews. You set thresholds once and let the quarterly filing tell you when one is crossed.

  1. Set an alert on CET1 or leverage at the level your policy treats as a concern.
  2. Add an alert on the uninsured deposit ratio for banks above $1 billion.
  3. Turn on filing alerts so a new quarterly report, 8-K or enforcement action on a watched bank reaches you.

Size uninsured exposure across your banks

Your balances at several banks exceed the insurance limit, and the committee wants to know how dependent each bank is on uninsured funding like yours.

  1. Open the deposit view for each bank to read its uninsured share and trend.
  2. Compare that share against banks of the same size.
  3. Record the result in your counterparty file with the reporting quarter.

Frequently asked questions

Can I monitor several banks at once?

Yes. Add each depository or counterparty bank to your watchlist and the portfolio monitor shows them together with their warning flags and core ratios. Watchlists and alerts are included in the free account.

Which ratios can trigger an alert?

CET1, Tier 1 and leverage ratios, the NPL, net charge-off and Texas ratios, ROA, ROE, net interest margin, efficiency ratio, loan-to-deposit, core deposit ratio and uninsured deposit ratio. You set the level and the direction; the alert emails you when a newly ingested quarter crosses it.

How do I see how much of a bank's deposits are uninsured?

Every bank above $1 billion in assets reports an estimate of uninsured deposits in its call report. The deposit view shows that share and its trend, and the uninsured-deposits screener ranks every reporting bank on it. Smaller banks are not required to report the estimate, so for most of them the figure is not available.

Is this a credit rating for my counterparties?

No. BankRegReports shows the bank's reported financial condition against its peers and against regulatory minimums. It is an input to your own counterparty assessment, not a credit rating or a recommendation to move funds.
